Song Shiming received his B.S. degree from the School of Chemical Engineering, Northwestern University for Nationalities in June 2013, pursued his M.S. degree from the College of Agriculture, Guangxi University from September 2015 to June 2018, and received his Ph.D. degree from the School of Environmental Science and Engineering, Sun Yat-sen University from September 2018 to present. During his master's and doctoral studies, he mainly focused on the source resolution, concentration distribution, risk assessment, and the mechanism of action with the health effects of pesticides in human external and internal exposure pathways. In the past five years, he has published 14 SCI papers with first or co-first authorship, including 2 papers in JCR Area I, including 1 paper each in Environmental Science & Technology and Environment International, and 8 papers in JCR II Top journals and above, 1 paper in ES&T cover. 1 ESI highly cited paper. In 2017, 2019, and 2020, he was awarded the National Scholarship for Master and Ph.D. students respectively. In 2020, he was awarded the Young Doctoral Scholarship of Shanghai Tongji Gao Tingyao Foundation for Environmental Science and Technology Development (22 students were selected nationwide).
